Md Shofiul Alam is a visionary tech entrepreneur with 18+ years of leadership in IT, FinTech, and AI. He is the Chief Strategist behind Bangladesh’s National AI Strategy, Managing Director of HyperTAG Solutions Ltd, and Founder of Desh AI—ventures focused on cognitive technologies and inclusive innovation.

He is the Founder of Belancer, Bangladesh’s first freelance marketplace, serving over 60,000 freelancers and 5,500 clients. Through Bangladesh’s largest IT training network, he has upskilled 45,000+ youth and enabled job placement for 10,000+ individuals under national programs. Shofiul’s work in mobile remittance (mRemittance) has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance, and MSN Money. He also co-founded PayON and Desh.AI, advancing AI for public good.

He is a member of AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence), BASIS America Desk, BACCO, Bangladesh Computer Samity, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), and DIU Alumni Association (Sr. Vice President). He is also active with Junior Chamber International (JCI). Shofiul has represented Bangladesh in 25+ countries, including at Japan IT Week, VivaTech France, and GEC Australia. A passionate writer on Cognitive AI, digital ethics, and algorithmic influence, he regularly publishes on Medium and Substack.
